What is Katto?

Katto is an AI video clipping service with a hosted MCP server. Point any MCP client at it (Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, or your own agent) and turn long videos, podcasts and Twitch VODs into scored, captioned, vertical 9:16 shorts, ready to post.

Two ways to connect

  • Hosted (zero-install, recommended): point an OAuth 2.1 client at https://mcp.katto.tech/mcp and sign in with your Katto account. No API key stored on disk.
  • Local (npx): run npx -y katto-mcp with KATTO_API_KEY=sk_live_... from your Katto dashboard.
