How does it keep an agent from overspending?

Every tool that costs money returns a quote with the full price, including ICANN fees and payment processing, and then stops. Nothing is charged until the client calls executeConfirmedAction with the quoted action. Domain lock, auto-renew, and privacy toggles are separate explicit tools, so an agent cannot change them as a side effect. All account activity is logged and readable through getMyAuditLogs.

Do I need an account to try it?

No. Availability checks, pricing, name suggestions, and catalog lookups work with no login. You sign in only when you want to register, change, or buy something.

Which clients are supported?

Any client that speaks MCP over Streamable HTTP: Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, and frameworks such as LangChain, CrewAI, and AutoGen.

Does it only search, or can it actually register domains?

It registers, renews, transfers, and manages domains end to end, because OSIR is the registrar itself rather than a wrapper around someone else's API.

Is there an SSE endpoint?

No. The server uses Streamable HTTP only at https://be.osir.com/mcp/http.
